EAS needed a repeatable, defensible way to measure the economic contribution of Estonia’s e-Residency programme to the state. SPIN Unit took over, in-house, an economic-impact model originally built by a Big Four consultancy, reproducing its methodology and then running it annually going forward.
The approach combined company-level financial data for firms in the e-Residency Marketplace with national tax and accounts data, allocating value added, taxes, and employment attributable to e-resident-related business, then benchmarking the results against national totals. A companion study also benchmarked Estonia’s programme against a newly launched competitor scheme in Lithuania.
The engagement gave EAS a repeatable, defensible, in-house capability for measuring the programme’s economic contribution going forward, in place of a one-off external consultancy report.
